Celebrating National Healthy Skin Month: Top Tips for Healthy, Glowing Skin!


November is National Healthy Skin Month, making it the perfect time to refresh and reset your skincare routine. As your Esthetician, I'm excited to share my top tips and recommendations to help you achieve glowing skin year-round. Whether you’re looking to minimize breakouts, begin your pro-aging journey, or simply enhance your current skincare routine, here’s how to make this month all about your skin health.


1. Nourish Your Skin from the Inside Out


Skincare goes beyond products! Your diet and hydration play a huge role in skin health. Eating foods rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fats (like those found in leafy greens, berries, and avocados) can help protect your skin from damage and improve its overall texture and glow.


Try This: Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water a day and add hydrating foods like cucumbers and watermelon to your meals. For an added boost, incorporate a daily fresh juice or smoothie packed with antioxidant-rich ingredients like spinach, blueberries, and flaxseed.

2. Customize Your Routine for the Fall and Winter Months


As the weather cools down, our skin can become drier and more sensitive due to indoor heating and lower humidity levels. This month, take the time to reassess your skincare routine to ensure it’s providing the hydration and nourishment your skin needs.


Try This: Swap out lightweight summer moisturizers for richer creams or add a hydrating serum. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin to help lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling soft and plump.



3. Don’t Skip the SPF – Yes, Even in November!


UV rays are present year-round, even in the cooler months. Sun damage is a leading cause of premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer. Make sunscreen a daily habit to protect your skin and preserve its health.


Try This: Choose a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and apply it every morning, even on cloudy days. If you’re outside a lot during the day, remember to reapply every two hours. Many daily moisturizers and foundations now include SPF, which makes it easier than ever!
